This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices and how we will treat your personal data.
This policy also sets out the standards of behaviour we expect of Cairde users particularly in relation to any use of the app in which a user may make reference to other people.

We are also working closely with third parties (including, for example, community text alert groups) and may receive information about you from them to enable your receipt of certain information (for example we may receive phone numbers of community alert members and add them to our records to allow the system route text alerts to these numbers).

Using our app constitutes your consent to identify you as the originator of any content you add to the app.
We may provide information at aggregate level to third parties for the purposes of community safety initiatives, research and business development.
Currently we do not plan to provide advertisers with access to you via our app. If this were to change, it will necessitate a change to this policy.
Analytics, development partners/providers that assist us in the development, operation and improvement of our app may need access to data to enable provision of the services.
The data that we collect from you will be transferred to, and stored at, a destination inside the European Economic Area ("EEA") – currently Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Dublin. It may also be accessed by staff who work for us or for one of our suppliers who may not reside within Europe. Such staff will be engaged in the provision of support services.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. We will use an SSL Certificate to encrypt traffic between your phone and our backend databases.
Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our app; any transmission is at your own risk.
Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing and assess. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. You are responsible for the data you post on the Cairde app.

You must not use Cairde to deliberately harass, bully or otherwise infringe the rights of others.

Use of Cairde is at your discretion and you are expected to act responsibly and make all reasonable efforts to ensure the information you post is correct and appropriate.
Use of Cairde is at your own risk, posting of inappropriate comments or photos is also at your own risk.

The Acts give you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Acts. Any access request may be subject to a fee of €6.35 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
